The Special Collections Department at Cunningham Memorial Library holds Indiana State University's unique physical and digital collections. Special Collections consists of four units: Rare Books & Manuscripts, University Archives, the Permanent Art Collection and Digital Initiatives. These four units hold, preserve, and make accessible art, University and local history collections, the world-famous Cordell Dictionary Collection, the Eugene V. Debs Correspondence, and other rare books and manuscript collections on a variety of subjects dating from the 15th century to the present. In addition, Digital Initiatives provides digitization and data management support for the University’s Institutional Repository, Sycamore Scholars, and the Wabash Valley Visions and Voices Digital Memory Project.
